Fans.

In my exploration of the net I often come across a collage of photo's of young things ,proudly displayed by the blogger etc as his or her fans.

Fans according to me is one who admires you no matter what.

I could have boasted of such a following in my school days. There after it slowly petered down to a number that a pre KG child could count upto.

This fan following that is such a craze in the net, has also infected me. I toyed with the idea of showing off my followers and in its pursuit spent several hours racking my memory and spread my net far and wide to scour for fans and finally resigned myself to the following facts.

My views and observations on everything under the sun and moon pleases none , except myself. Hence I think I have more detractors than supporters.

Oh yes! I think I too can boast of 2 fans ,but doubt very much whether I can show them off.

One a man , well past his prime , half my size , shorter than me, clad in, lavishly blued polyester dhothi and shirt. The pale blue dhothi folded always into two baring legs upto the knees,a cigarette perennially smouldering between his fingers, would bar my way on the road , during my walks ,in this nagar , giving me a leering look , stopping short of winking, each and every one of those times our paths happened to cross , in the past several years .He obviously believes in the adage jann pillai annalum annpillai.

Another is a hunch backed senior citizen ,a morning walker, who straggles in Bermudas and gaily printed colourful shirts. He would make it a point to give me a unblinking stare from one unwavering eye from various vantage points..He is cross eyed , but by the direction of his head I can guess who is the recipient of his attention .

The two fans of mine!I am sure that they are neither computer nor internet savy. And if they were and happened to read my blogs ,they would take fright and scamper away. They wouldn't be my fans anymore .

So I find myself in a catch 22 situation .

I am dedicating this blog to humour, poetry's and philosophies.
