sms.
I generally go through the noted writer of yester years articles as I had admired his writings in my college days.
His article a jangled twisted mass of words in sms was simply beyond my comprehension and I gave up deciphering it after first few lines .
How ever the comments it elicited were very clear and are as follows---
I got a head ache half way!
Toi I need your do not disturb sign!
Dear sir it is now very clear that you have lost it completely. I am your own age. Remember the old saying ,'Deliberately breaking one's horns to look like a calf will not work'!
Sir did you write this article when your AC was off due to power failure?
Please spare us , the state of the nation is already driving us nuts!
Who the hell wrote this , for whom ? What is he trying to say?

Pain,
The following passage from Charles Dickens short story touched me . It is taken out the story relating the death of a poor person's ailing child.
They little know , who coldly talk of the poor man's bereavements , as a happy release from pain to the departed and a merciful relief from expense to the survivor. They little know I say ,what the agony of those bereavements is.
A silent look of affection and regard when all other eyes are turned coldly away --the consciousness that we posses the sympathy and affection of one being , when all others have deserted us---is a hold, a stay , a comfort in the deepest affliction , which no wealth could purchase or power bestow.

My own.
My mind was as restless as the waves breaking on the deserted sand,
In my pain I was dully aware that a stray, had dug his hole next to me and snuggled in,
The, time went by , a sniff broke into my shell,
The stray was still there, beside me with a look in his liquid eyes,
I too have none , but I call every one in pain my own.

Twice all over.
I received the clothes ironed neatly , grudging the hike in the fees,
As I sorted it out , I came upon a single white fragrant flower ,
That had fallen from ,overhanging leafy shade and had escaped the dhobhi's eyes,
I inhaled the pleasant scent, that eclipsed the burnt smell of coal,
My heart swelled , the tightness fell away,
The fees was worth twice all over!

street corner.
The man was bent on his work, patching cycle tubes in the street corner,
A frown between his eyes and lips tightly pursed
The neem tree over him was in full bloom ,
Yellow flowers lay heaped nearby , brushed by the sweeper,
Their fragrance attracting a bevy of colourful butterflies
Vying for the abundant nectar ,within easy reach,
Henna swayed and sprinkled its flowers and scent from a nearby compound,
If only he was aware , how lucky he was to call that pocket of fragrance ,
In a polluted area his own!

Then
Never want anything badly,
You are sure to get it ultimately,
There is no guarantee ,
That you'll relish and enjoy it ,then!

Blind
Disease and genes blinds one vision , is well known,
Excessive faith and anger also blinds one's vision is ill known.

Thank you.
Thank you god for giving me sight, to see laughing flowers and arches formed by trees,
Thank you god for giving me smell to draw in deep gulps of fragrance of sweetly scented flowers,
Thank you god for giving me the leisure to watch you paint the evening sky,
Thank you, I would a million times if you had blessed me with words and strokes ,
To describe and share your fleeting master pieces ,with millions and more!

Touch.
A steely hand encircling the shoulders,
Soft chubby fingers exploring the face ,
Are the twin touches that a woman actually needs!
